Muldai Peak and Ghorepani Poon Hill trek’s fame is spread around the world as an idea place to get in the wonders of the nature. This trek is a best place for the panoramic views of a series of mighty Himalayan peaks including the Gurja Peka, Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, Dhampus peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna – I, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gangapurna and Machhapuchharestand tall extending from one side to another. The first light of the sun illuminate these mountains with such splendor that is beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.
Day-Wise Itinerary Schedule
After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Kimche village (approx. 2 hours) via Nayapul and Birethanti.
Your trek begins with a steady ascent of 2–3 hours up a well-laid stone staircase leading to Ghandruk (1,950 m), a picturesque Gurung settlement with spectacular views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchre and Annapurna II.
Lunch is served in Ghandruk before continuing on a gentle uphill trail through pine and rhododendron forest to Bhainsi Kharka, a tranquil woodland clearing.
Overnight at Teahouse Lodge (B, L, D).
Today's trail leads deep into lush rhododendron forest, alive with birdsong and—if luck is on your side—the chance of spotting wild animals.
The route undulates gently before reaching Dobato, a beautiful ridge village offering superb mountain views.

Wake up early for a 45-minute hike to Muldai Viewpoint, an extraordinary 360° panorama revealing over 25 Himalayan peaks, including the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, Nilgiri, and Lamjung Himal.
On clear days, the Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake shimmer in the distance.
Return for breakfast, then continue the trek with a steep but rewarding ascent to Deorali Pass (3,150 m), showcasing breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Gurja Himal, Manaslu and Annapurna.
Descend to Ghorepani, surrounded by blue-hued rhododendron forests.

Another early start brings you to the top of Poon Hill (3,210 m), arguably Nepal’s most famous viewpoint.
Watch the first golden light illuminate the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, with Machhapuchre and Hiunchuli standing proudly across the horizon. Beneath you lies the immense Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the deepest on Earth.
After descending to Ghorepani for lunch, continue on a scenic trail towards Tikhedunga, passing villages, terraced fields, and occasionally encountering pilgrims and wandering sadhus.

Enjoy an easy, pleasant walk for about 2 hours to Birethanti, following a gentle riverside trail through forests and hamlets.
Here, a vehicle awaits to transfer you back to Pokhara (approx. 2 hours), where your Annapurna foothills adventure concludes.
