Day-Wise Itinerary Schedule
Early morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport and board the scenic mountain flight to Lukla (2800m) — your gateway to Everest. Meet your Sherpa trekking team, organise luggage and set off on your first easy walk through charming stone-built villages along the Dudh Kosi River. Lunch en route and dinner with overnight stay in Phakding.
After breakfast, follow the glacial river and cross several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. Views of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse reveal themselves as you ascend the steep final trail into Namche Bazaar — the colourful Sherpa capital. Rest, explore and soak up the mountain atmosphere.
A vital rest day to allow your body to adjust to the altitude. Optional short hikes to the Everest View Hotel or the Sherpa Museum. Enjoy free time discovering local markets, cafés and interacting with the famously warm Sherpa community.
A gentle contouring trail offering magnificent peaks before descending through pine forests to the river. After crossing the bridge, a steady uphill walk leads to Tengboche. Visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery — set in one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Khumbu region. Dinner and overnight facing Ama Dablam.
A relaxed morning walk brings you to Pangboche — a tranquil village famous for its ancient monastery. Gorgeous close-up views of Ama Dablam accompany the route. Afternoon visit of the monastery and surrounding hamlets.
Follow the trail along the ridge with wide-open Himalayan panoramas. After lunch by the river, climb gently to Krhumjung village, home to the Hillary School and a monastery housing what locals claim to be the scalp of the mythical Yeti. Overnight in a peaceful mountain setting.
Walk through high mountain terrain past mani walls and fluttering prayer flags. Thami is nestled beneath the peaks of Teng Kangboche and Kwangde. Visit the important local monastery and enjoy the serenity of this remote Sherpa settlement. Overnight in Thami.
Trace your route back to Namche for lunch, then descend through alpine woodland to Jorsalee, a small riverside village near Sagarmatha National Park. Dinner and overnight stay.
A pleasant walk past tiny hamlets, rhododendron forests and across sturdy suspension bridges brings you back to Lukla. Afternoon at leisure to celebrate your achievement with your trekking team. Dinner and overnight in Lukla.
Early morning mountain flight returns you to Kathmandu. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Free time to relax or explore the capital’s vibrant bazaars and cafés.
